Responsibilities

STEM instructors at Pixel academy

Pixel Academy Africa is dedicated to nurturing young innovators through dynamic STEM education programs. Our STEM instructors play a vital role in teaching coding, robotics, IoT, and drone technology to students in Grades 3–8. 

Join our TEAM.

  • Plan, develop, and deliver interactive lessons in STEM subjects tailored to various age groups (Grades 3–8).
  • Guide students in hands-on projects, including robotics, IoT systems, drones, and coding activities.
  • Monitor student progress, assess performance, and provide feedback to improve learning outcomes.
  • Organise and oversee competitions, bootcamps, and workshops for students and schools.
  • Collaborate with the team to refine curriculum content and develop new teaching materials.
  • Maintain equipment and tools, ensuring safety and functionality during classes.
  • Act as a mentor to students, fostering creativity, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.
  • A degree in STEM-related fields (Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Education, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of at least two of the following: Coding (e.g., Scratch, Python), Robotics, IoT, or Drones.
  • Prior experience teaching or mentoring children in STEM activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage a classroom effectively and foster an engaging learning environment.
  • Certification in teaching or a specific STEM discipline.
  • Experience with project-based learning or curriculum development.
  • Knowledge of game development platforms like Unity or Unreal Engine.
  • Familiarity with emerging trends in STEM education and new technologies.
  • A creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
